Braun electric shavers are very popular, and the Braun 360° Complete 8985 and the slightly more sophisticated version 8995 are two very popular choices. According to many reviewers, the 8985 is a good electric shaver which give a very adequate and close shave, comparable to that of other electric razors in the same price range. The shave is quiet and gives no irritation. The 8985 is easy to maneuver and the cleaning system is a great feature to use. However, many people have commented on the cost of the replacement cleaning cartridges, which are a little bit pricey. Because they have a high alcohol content, the solution will evaporate. However, some reviewers have come up with a great tip: To save yourself some money on the cleaning solution, you can simply save the cap of the cleaning cartridge and re-cap the cartridge between cleanings, extending the life of the cartridge by up to several months!
